Summer Series Race 1

Results and points posted - 113 riders turned up for race 1, on a fine evening with lite winds made for fast times. U15 numbers down due to our members still being on holiday till mid next month.Well done Phoebe Bedford 1st, Drew Christensen, and young Eve Parkinson.

A few riders seemed to not cross the mats so no time was recorded riders are reminded to cross matts even if they pull out of the race, this takes pressure off the results team. Reminder tags must be fitted to the bike with the tag holder tags do not work if placed in socks pockets etc. Holders and ties are available at sign in please keep these on you bike!

As advised next week riders will be placed in grades prior we will email and place the new grades on the web by tuesday of next week. This is for safety and to ensure we have fair racing across all grades. 

Committee is looking for helpers in regards to race management and timing system set up, plus a few people with Excell spread sheet skills/ computer skills to help with results and  timing system pre race set up. If you are interested please email the club via the web site, or talk to a committee member.

WELCOME TO HAMILTON CITY CYCLING!

The Hamilton City Cycling Club offers competitive cycling in and around the Hamilton area. We hold weekly club races throughout most of the year; as well as a number of larger annual events such as our challenging Club Champs and Open race. We also run a number of fun events for all to enjoy thru the years as well. The club runs under UCI rules and is affiliated with Bike NZ Road/Track the national body and WBOP Cycling Centre. The club also offers coaching and advice for all new members.

With a membership of over 200 we always welcome new cyclists to enjoy the fun and thrill of cycle racing. Our members range from new young riders 11 years and above just starting out in the sport, junior riders U15, U17 and U19, to strong, tough and fast seniors to grizzled and cunning old vets.

Come meet and race with us and see if its for you. Enjoy the companionship of fellow riders and swap stories about your latest triumphs.

All riders are required to have a BRT BikeNZ licence to compete in our events. Non licenced riders can ride 3 events only and will then need to become a BRT licenced rider. Any question regarding this please contact a committee member.
