Race 9 was the last “Points Race” for 2009, this week we had 88 riders turned up to race, again with loads of new faces and big bunches in both B & C Grades, forecast of today’s weather was spot on, with sunshine and little wind.  We had loads more people sign up as members of HCCC which is great, these will be sent to BikeNZ this week. 

Tonight’s racing was “marred” with a incident where a rider crossed the center line in a bunch sprint and was almost taken out by a on-coming vehicle, GUY’s do we need to remind you that the ROADS ARE OPEN AT ALL TIMES and this is just STUPID we are not racing for the “World Champs” it’s better to lose the sprint and be alive.  During racing if you are caught over the center line you will be disqualified. 

 

This week is “Prize Giving” we will be having prize giving prior to racing and then racing will commence (2 laps)
